“Home cultivation increases access to medical marijuana,” said Bill Richard, the current chief operating officer and co-founder of Blue Basin Canna. Richard also founded the Counseling Center of Acadiana, Acadiana Addiction Center, Solutions Recovery Center, and The Healing Link Recovery.
“Home cultivation can alleviate the financial burden on veterans who may be struggling with medical expenses directly related to their service to their country,” said Richard.
“By allowing veterans to grow their own medical marijuana, more veterans would have affordable access to the medicine they need.”
Richard is also a veteran, serving seven years in the National Guard. Richard has seen his share of trauma and the improvements cannabis-related therapies can offer some patients. Richard is certified with the American College of Certified Forensic Counselors and serves as a masters-level addiction counselor and diplomat in the American Psychotherapy Association.
Bill Richard co-founded Blue Basin Canna, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer. Richard was motivated to start Blue Basin Canna after witnessing firsthand the failures of pharmaceutical interventions in the fields of mental health and pain management resulting in many overdoses and even deaths.
